I got an ad for the new Claude model, Fable 5. I went to Claude to ask about the differences between all the models available. Claw replied back and I didn’t know about a new model called Fable 5. I then asked ChatGPT about the differences between the models and it gave me a pretty good answer. I then went back to Claude and switched the model to Fable 5 at highest and it gave me an answer, finally. I also think it’s funny that as I’m using voice text that it translates it into ‘fabel five’. I didn’t have to correct it to ‘Fable 5’.
It is rumored that the new Fabe 5 is the highly anticipated mythos model. I’m also not sure why Claude wants to give names and a version number to the models. Claude also actively develops older models. ChatGPT just gives a model number. I have been using ChatGPT for many years and just started with Claude a few months ago. If you have any insight on the model naming for Claude, I would love to know.
