Some messages deserve more presence than a plain paragraph. This project brings a miniature highway construction sign to the browser.
The Construction Sign Text Generator turns entered text into an LED-style message board. It uses a custom 5-by-7 dot-matrix renderer and supports one to four lines, with manual line breaks or automatic wrapping.
The controls make the appearance part of the fun. LED color, bulb size, spacing, glow, alignment, and the frame can all be adjusted. A live preview shows the result while the wording and layout change. It is a useful little exercise in making typography out of something other than ordinary font glyphs.
Export makes the preview reusable. The page can download a PNG image, copy self-contained embed code, or copy a complete standalone HTML document. Someone can use a static picture or keep the generated sign as a web element.
The project runs client-side and does not store entered text on a server. The files are ordinary HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which fits the scale of the experiment.
The project combines a recognizable visual language with a very small task. A familiar road-sign style makes an ordinary message feel immediately different. The controls then turn that idea into something another person can customize.
It is not intended to manage an actual highway sign. It is a browser toy with a practical export button—and sometimes that is an entirely sufficient project brief.
