This is a working title but for now it explains pretty well what I am trying to do.
I am a keyboard junkie. I always have my right hand on my mouse and my left hand on my keyboard, usually ready for a CTRL + [KEY] combo to quickly knock out a task. I plan to share some quick tips that may help you be more productive when using the computer.
Outlook (email) Desktop App
These are keyboard shortcuts I use very regularly to move about and control Outlook.
- CTRL + R ~ while in an email message to reply
- CTRL + SHIFT + R ~ while in an email message to reply all
- CTRL + N or CTRL + SHIFT + M ~ opens a new compose message
- CTRL + ENTER ~ send the current message you are typing
- CTRL + F ~ open a compose box to forward the current message
- CTRL + CLICK ~ after one email is selected you can select multiple emails that are NOT in sequence order. This also works in many applications in windows including Windows Explorer.
- SHIFT + CLICK ~ after one email is selected you can select multiple emails that ARE in sequence order. Select (CLICK) first and then SHIFT + CLICK last and all emails between will be selected. This also works in many applications in windows including Windows Explorer.
- CTRL + 1 ~ switch to mail view
- CTRL + 2 ~ switch to calendar view
- CTRL + E ~ enter the search text box
